Pastfinders Help Sessions
Need Help with Your Family History?
Whether you’re just getting started or hitting a brick wall in your research, the Pastfinders Research Assistance program is here to help. Our team of volunteers is available both online and in person at the Genealogy Room inside Cooper Memorial Library.
Drop in for personalized help during our weekly open sessions—no appointment needed. Our volunteers are happy to answer questions, walk you through the research process, or help you organize and share what you’ve already discovered. Just bring what you have, and we’ll help you take the next step.
Want to start your family tree but not sure where to begin?
Have records scattered and need help getting organized?
Looking for ways to share your family tree with relatives?
You have genealogy questions—Pastfinders has answers.
We also offer training sessions on the basic forms used in genealogy research. The only information you need to begin is what you already know—your parents, grandparents, their birthplaces, and birthdates. From there, the discoveries begin.
